I love this post and I LOVE that Hunter is writing. I feel like I want to say, "I'm proud of you Hunter!". I suspect he's working his program hard. Work those steps Hunter! Recovery taught me humility. Actually, so did my sponsor. She told me, "get humble or get humiliated". And damn if she wasn't right! But then again, she usually was...

I got clean in 1996 at 27. SO fucking grateful it was before social media!

Awesome read, thank you. Sobriety is still a daily challenge for me but I’ve had no relapse in 18 months so I’m very happy for that.

What a beautiful display of empathy by the Trump supporter! That truly floored me. Thanks for sharing it. Gives me hope.

This isn't related to Paul's post. I just keep thinking about all the shenanigans (I know, poor choice of words but I LOVE that word) Hunter got into. And people are mad he got some passes. I KNOW without a doubt, if I had connections, I would do everything I could to get a pass on my addiction shenanigans. Its the addict way. We are manipulators while using!

Well said, I’m impressed with Hunter’s honesty and straightforward talk

Excellent points about Bidens struggles, it can’t help that he’s politically famous.

Some people come from privilege. Some people are addicts. Plenty are both. Neither are value judgments about their character. If you want to debate other aspects of Biden’s life, please do it elsewhere. If you want to disparage people for addiction, please also do that elsewhere.
