"The change wasn’t dramatic; I didn’t feel like anything had been taken from me or like I had lost any part of myself. I just…didn’t want to drink as much."
I think this was a great addition to your column. Good work!
I realize I still have a filter that activates when I read about others' experience with alcohol. For me, the drinking life was so fully a mental crutch. I don't know to what extent medication would/could have helped me stop. But getting to the new mindset/way of life/philosophy was crucial for my new life. I wonder...
Thank you! I've often wondered the same thing. I definitely would have needed something on top of the drug, probably intensive therapy or something. But still interesting to consider!
Well said: something on top of the drug! I guess I flinch over the matter because a woman I briefly dated approached medication as a fix-it thing; spoiler alert, did not end well.
Thank you for sharing the best truth you can too. Would you, Michael Rodriguez, Kristin, Tammy Hawkins, Lisa Korytowski, Tina Storey, Suite Sister Mary and all please also see/share our information from Captain Dan Hanley, Captain Rob Balsamo, Amber Quitno, Professor Tony Martin, Scott Hagen, Dr. Paul Craig Roberts, Professor Graeme MacQueen and others and help us improve it if you can. Thank you!
I like this Q&A addition. Also, the Parks meme
Thank you! (And jean ralphio is the best)
I wasn’t aware Naltrexone could be used to curb cravings for alcohol. Thanks Katie (and Diego) for the interview!

I think for some people, medication alone can do the trick. I just don’t think I’d be one of them lol
